about

I'm Eric. I'm doing an apprenticeship as an Audiovisual Media Designer at a small local TV station near Halle (Saale). Most days I cut videos for TV, YouTube and social media. I also build websites, this one included.

I started out studying computer science, but I dropped out because it was too theoretical for me, and I like creative work more. I didn't leave the tech side behind though. I still write code, I just use it for creative stuff now.

I use AI a lot, mostly to get the boring steps out of the way. The ideas and the taste still have to come from me, otherwise what's the point.

In my free time I go bouldering and play video games. My favorite artist is Porter Robinson, but I also really like to listen to game and movie soundtracks, and I also listen to indie music. I'm into anime and Japanese graphic design, a bit too much into mechanical keyboards (I built 3 and can only use one lol), I cook, and I try to keep a few plants alive (I'm new to that topic).
